노래 첫 소절에 등장하는 9월 21의 다음 날 9월 22 혹은 23일은 24절기 중 추분(autumnal equinox)에 해당하며, 하지 이후 낮의 길이가 조금씩 짧아져 낮과 밤의 길이가 같아지는 날입니다. 그렇게 추분은 가을이 시작되는 날이라 할 수 있으며, 9월 21일은 여름의 마지막 날이라 볼 수 있겠습니다.
